POLAND

Polish people find it important when doing business to have a positive meet and greet. They take pride in a firm handshake with a smile upon arrival and before departing. When shaking hands with a woman, they wait for the woman to extend her hand first. Polish people also generally judge people on their personally qualities and  take time getting to know them.  Poles are also known for being direct with their thoughts and they say exactly what their thinking. The level of the business relationship relates to the directness of the other. For a business meeting, small talk is normal before they get down to the topic of discussion. Going to lunch or dinner business meetings are used for furthering the relationship with the companies.

                Imports the Poland usually get include, meat, vodka, crops, livestock, horse radish and machinery. Right now there has never been a better time to export to Poland form America. In Poland they appreciate what we have to offer almost more than we do ourselves. Poland often export Rye, wheat, oats, sugar beets and potatoes are the main crops and coal mining companies have been scaled down in recent years.

            Recently Poland’s technology has been growing and their using their natural resources by using solar energy. Poland has a lot of both renewable resources and non-renewable recourses.
