Kuwait, the J-COOL country

Kuwaitians always prefer to do business with people and countries that they have a personal relationship. If you are meeting with a Kuwaitian official be sure that you are presentable, because people in Kuwait judge a lot by other peoples appearance. When scheduling a meeting be sure to hold it in the morning because some people in Kuwait are restricted to only working a 6 hour day. During meetings, frequent interruptions are common.
In Kuwait the family is incredibly important and is essentially the basis of their social structure. Dining customs include making sure that you have your shoes off if the host does. You also need to make sure that you have proper table manners, for the people are not forgiving. The dress code is fairly conservative and bland compared to that of other countries. Petroluem, fish, shrimp, and natural gas are some of Kuwait’s highest resources and exports. Food, construction materials, vehicles and parts, clothing are some of the basic imports of Kuwait. .275 dinars is one dollar.
